Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date Pushed To September

CD Projekt Red has announced that Cyberpunk 2077’s release date has been pushed back until September 17, 2020. At about 1pm Eastern Standard Time, the Witcher 3 developer released a statement via their official twitter account.

"Cyberpunk 2077 won't make the April release window and we're moving the launch date to September 17, 2020," the statement reads.

"We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there's still work to be done. Night City is massive - full of stories, content, and places to visit, but due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing and polishing."

It appears that the game is in a playable state and is complete but more time for play testing is needed according to the release.

I give them some kudos given how many triple A titles are launched unfinished these days. It’s a little sad though given the hype and excitement that has been building.

CD Projekt Red is no stranger to delays. The Witcher 3 was pushed from 2014 to February 2015 and then again to the actual date it was released on, May 19, 2015. What do you all think?
